Dubai (PlantAndEquipment.com) - AD Ports Group and Azerbaijan Transport and Communications Holding have inked a memorandum of understanding to investigate port, shipping, logistics, and digital trade solutions cooperation in Azerbaijan.
The agreement establishes a framework for evaluating cooperative investment prospects and creating integrated logistics and transportation infrastructure, including digital and marine systems.
The action comes after the UAE-Azerbaijan Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement, which seeks to increase trade, lower tariffs, and increase investment flows between the two nations, came into effect in April 2026.
According to officials, the agreement takes use of Azerbaijan's unique location as a transit point between East and West and is in line with plans to fortify economic routes between Central Asia and Europe.
The partnership will concentrate on boosting multimodal connectivity, increasing supply chain efficiency, and assisting the growth of Azerbaijan's marine and logistics industries.
As a result of growing economic relations, bilateral non-oil commerce between the UAE and Azerbaijan has increased dramatically, climbing more than 30% over the previous two years to surpass $2.2 billion in 2025.
