CNH Raises Construction Outlook As Heavy Equipment Demand Strengthens

Dubai (PlantAndEquipment.com) - CNH Industrial has upped its 2026 Construction sales forecast to 5%-10% growth, as management becomes more optimistic about demand for heavy construction equipment.

The company is also boosting production hours to meet the predicted increase in equipment sales.

CNH's construction machinery division comprises CASE Construction Equipment, New Holland Construction, and Eurocomach, offering the company a diverse equipment portfolio that includes excavators, wheel loaders, backhoe loaders, skid steer loaders, compact track loaders, graders, and other small machines.

Construction net sales were $866 million in Q2 2026, up 12% year on year, with greater North American volumes driving most of the growth.

EMEA also saw slight volume increase, but tariffs hampered profitability, with adjusted EBIT margin falling to 1.7% from 4.5% the year before.

In Africa, CNH is seeing rising competition from Chinese and Indian equipment makers, but management claims these businesses have yet to build substantial scale in the countries it serves.

Looking forward, CNH expects infrastructure expansion, data center building, and power generating projects to support continuing demand for heavy machines, creating a strong background for the building sector into 2027.

CNH is also looking at partnerships to grow its construction equipment line, improve scale, and enhance its position in new areas, with heavy excavators named as a top focus. Management said that possible cooperation might potentially bring new technology and a wider range of construction equipment to its dealer networks.
