Dubai (PlantAndEquipment.com) - XCMG has officially inaugurated its first overseas new energy production center in Indonesia's Weda Bay Industrial Park (IWIP), a significant step toward the company's worldwide growth of electric construction equipment.
The new facility combines local production, R&D, and aftersales support, allowing XCMG to reduce delivery times while developing products specifically for Indonesia's mining, infrastructure, and industrial sectors. During the inauguration, the business also handed over its first batch of electric construction equipment to key partner Tsingshan.
In addition to manufacturing battery-electric gear, the facility will facilitate old equipment recycling and parts remanufacturing, extending XCMG's commitment to resource efficiency and circular economy principles. XCMG Indonesia employs over 80% of its workers locally, demonstrating the company's long-term commitment to local job creation and skill development.
The new manufacturing site creates a fully integrated local value chain that includes R&D, production, sales, and aftersales service, increasing XCMG's capacity to meet Indonesia's expanding demand for low-emission equipment in the mining and construction sectors.
