Dubai (PlantAndEquipment.com) - Arada has awarded a package of $735 million in construction and consultation contracts to deliver Masaar 2, its forested residential project in Sharjah's Rowdat neighborhood, to a group of premier contractors and design firms.

The four phases will yield a total of 1,997 residences, with initial handovers scheduled for 2027 and full completion in mid-2028. Both contractors had previously worked on the first Masaar village.

Darwish Engineering Emirates has already completed enabling works on the 10.5 million sq ft site and will provide the whole infrastructure scope, which includes roads, utilities, and important public facilities including a swimmable forest lagoon.

On the consultation side, Dewan Architects + Engineers completed the design for all four phases, CRTKL created the master plan concept, Parsons Overseas Limited handled infrastructure design and supervision, and DAR was engaged as supervision consultant till completion.

Masaar 2 debuted in early 2025 and sold out in hours. The Masaar brand is expanding, with Masaar 3 launching in September and the original Masaar community nearing completion by the end of 2026.
