Mawani Launches CMA CGM’s REDEX Service At Jeddah Islamic Port

Dubai (PlantAndEquipment.com) - In an effort to improve connectivity and increase the economic strength of Saudi ports, the Saudi Ports Authority (Mawani) launched CMA CGM's new REDEX shipping service at Jeddah Islamic Port.

With a capacity of 2,594 TEUs, the service connects Jeddah to four regional and international ports: Malta Freeport, Port Said, Alexandria, and Aqaba.

The launch is a component of Mawani's initiatives to improve trade flows and supply chains, supporting Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 and the National Transport and Logistics Strategy to establish the Kingdom as a worldwide center for logistics.

With 62 multipurpose berths, container terminals, and logistics zones for bonded storage and re-export, Jeddah Islamic Port is one of the Kingdom's principal marine entry points. The port can handle up to 130 million tons in total.
