Dubai (PlantAndEquipment.com) - As the demand for spare parts distribution in the Gulf region continues to increase, Ghassan Aboud Holding and EasyLease have established a new multi-user automotive aftermarket logistics center at Jebel Ali Free Zone, which is operated by Gallega Global Logistics.
The 215,000-sq-ft facility is anticipated to generate over 200 employment and manage over 10 million automotive parts annually, thereby facilitating more efficient and dependable distribution throughout the UAE and the broader GCC. The regional automotive aftermarket is expanding at a rate of approximately 5% annually, a trend that is being fueled by the increasing adoption of electric vehicles and the increasing ownership of vehicles. This is the reason for the launch.
The facility is endowed with warehouse management systems and a dedicated delivery fleet to support last-mile and regional distribution, and it operates continuously. It is also intended to accommodate the batteries of electric vehicles, which is indicative of the region's transition to electric mobility.
The facility is the result of a strategic agreement that is designed to offer the automotive aftermarket flexible, technology-enabled logistics solutions. Located in Jafza, the facility fortifies Dubai's status as a regional hub for automotive logistics and supply chain resilience.
DP World GCC stated that the increased demand for scalable distribution infrastructure is a result of the expansion of automotive supply chains throughout the region, as evidenced by developments such as the Gallega hub.
