AD Ports Group eyes Matadi port terminal project in DR Congo

Dubai (PlantAndEquipment.com) - AD Ports Group, based in Abu Dhabi, has agreed to work with the Democratic Republic of the Congo's Ministry of Transport, Communications and Opening Up and ONATRA SA, a state-owned transport company, to look into building and running a versatile dock at Matadi Port.

The preliminary deal lays out how AD Ports Group and ONATRA SA will work together to look for ways to make the port more efficient and increase its capacity. The goal is to help trade grow and make it easier for goods to come and go.

Matadi is an important part of the Democratic Republic of the Congo's trade with other countries because it is one of the country's main seaports. The suggested project would help with larger attempts to improve regional connections and transport facilities.

AD Ports Group has been growing its business in Africa. It now has port, marine, and transportation operations in Egypt, Tanzania, Angola, and the Republic of the Congo, among other places.
