Dubai (PlantAndEquipment.com) - Pioneers Transport in Saudi Arabia has received its first batch of Scania G440 XT truck units, as part of its attempts to grow its heavy-duty transport fleet and boost its foothold in the oil and gas industry.

The freshly supplied trucks have a 6×4 axle layout for challenging transport jobs, making them suited for heavy-duty operations such as rig movements that need durability, power, and dependability.

The sale was carried out by GCC Olayan, the exclusive distributor of Scania trucks in Saudi Arabia.

Scania's XT series is designed for use in tough areas and can be customized to withstand extreme conditions while maintaining high vehicle uptime and operating efficiency.

The trucks are powered by Scania's 13-litre Super engine, which includes performance enhancements and the manufacturer's Twin SCR emissions control technology. The engine is intended to improve fuel economy and decrease pollutants, with the firm claiming that the powertrain may save up to 8% in gasoline compared to earlier models.
