Dubai (PlantAndEquipment.com) - Luxembourg-based Faymonville Group has agreed to purchase a controlling share in Morello, broadening its range of self-propelled transport solutions for industrial and intralogistics applications.
Morello, based in Turin, produces battery-powered electric vehicles meant to transport big industrial cargo inside plant settings, with payload capabilities beginning at five tons. The company's trucks are used to carry large equipment and semi-finished commodities in industries such as rail, steel, energy, nuclear, and defense.
The purchase expands Faymonville's range in the lighter load class and complements Cometto's self-propelled Eco500 and Eco1000 models. Morello's battery-electric cars will help meet the rising need for emission-free and low-noise transportation solutions in industrial environments.
Faymonville said that it would incorporate its manufacturing capabilities with Morello's current operations while retaining the Morello trademark. The deal boosts Faymonville's position as a comprehensive provider of specialized transportation and heavy haulage solutions.
