Dubai (PlantAndEquipment.com) - Dafo Vehicle has received certification from the UAE.S 5041:2021 and SASO 2946:2020 specifications for fire suppression systems used in bus and coach engine compartments, therefore increasing its position in the Middle Eastern market.
The Emirates Safety Laboratory (ESL) provided both certificates, which show that the company's systems satisfy the legal standards for automated fire detection and suppression in heavy-duty passenger cars.
The UAE.S 5041:2021 standard applies to buses and coaches that transport more than 22 people and requires systems to be tested for fire performance, vibration resistance, and temperature endurance to guarantee dependable operation in extreme environments.
Dafo's systems also meet Saudi Arabia's SASO 2946:2020 standard, which establishes comparable standards for fire detection, suppression, and durability in commercial passenger cars.
The certificates are intended to improve fire safety in public transportation systems, where engine compartment fires constitute a substantial operating risk.
Dafo Vehicle, established in 1919, specializes in fire safety solutions and was one of the early creators of integrated fire suppression systems for vehicles.
