
Dubai (PlantAndEquipment.com) - For the first phase of its BAYN master-planned community in Ghantoot, Abu Dhabi, ORA Developers has given United Engineering building (UNEC) a construction contract for AED 1.9 billion ($517 million).
The contract covers 614 residential units, including villas and townhouses, as well as related infrastructure and landscape work. Construction formally started on June 1.
Enabling work is currently underway in many areas of the development, and the first phase is anticipated to be completed by late 2028.
At 4.8 million square meters, BAYN is one of the biggest mixed-use developments in Abu Dhabi. It includes residential neighborhoods, waterfront amenities, a marina, sports facilities, and a private beachfront.
The overall contracts granted for the development currently surpass AED 2.3 billion ($640 million), including the most recent award.
