SANY Delivers 70-Tonne Mining Trucks For Saudi Customer

Dubai (PlantAndEquipment.com) - SANY has delivered four SKT105S 70-tonne wide-body mining dump trucks to a repeat customer in Saudi Arabia's Central Region, indicating continued demand for high-capacity haulage equipment in the Kingdom's mining sector.

The SKT105S is intended for heavy-duty mining, quarrying, and earthmoving industries, including a 70-tonne payload and a 390 kW (530 hp) Weichai engine. The truck also has hydro-pneumatic front and rear suspension for increased riding comfort and stability, as well as a dual-cylinder mid-lift tipping mechanism intended to improve durability and unloading efficiency in tough off-road situations.

The latest delivery comes as Saudi Arabia ramps up investment in the mining industry under Vision 2030, with the Kingdom aiming to develop its vast reserves of gold, phosphate, copper, rare earth elements, and other critical minerals. New mines, mineral exploration programs, and processing projects are increasing demand for large mining fleets, opening new opportunities for suppliers of haul trucks, excavators, loaders, and other heavy mining equipment.
