Northern Star Selects Sandvik Underground Mining Fleet

Dubai (PlantAndEquipment.com) - Northern Star Resources has chosen Sandvik to provide a fleet of underground trucks and loaders for its mining operations in Western Australia.

The order, which is scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2025, comprises Toro TH663i subterranean vehicles as well as Toro LH621i and LH517i intelligent loaders.

The i-series machines are intended for underground mining applications and include digital connection, real-time data capabilities, and automation-ready systems. The equipment is designed to accommodate larger payloads, increase operating efficiency, and improve safety performance.

Sandvik will offer local service support in Australia, including delivery, commissioning, and continuing equipment lifecycle management for Northern Star operations.
