Mantrac Delivers 10 Cat 777 Mining Trucks In Ghana

Dubai (PlantAndEquipment.com) - Mantrac Ghana has completed the local assembly and delivery of ten Cat 777 haul trucks in Tarkwa, increasing the fleet's availability for large mining activities in Ghana.

The Cat 777, weighing 100 tons, is a mechanical-drive rigid dump truck developed for high-production mining and quarry operations. It combines a large payload capacity with the endurance needed for long haul cycles.

The trucks were constructed by Mantrac Ghana's Tarkwa team before being delivered to Maxmass, demonstrating the availability of local technical knowledge for assembling and preparing major mining equipment in Ghana.

Representatives from AngloGold Ashanti Iduapriem, AMAX, and Maxmass attended the handover, with Mantrac noting technical team advancements achieved throughout the assembly phase.

The delivery brings another sizable fleet of Caterpillar mining trucks to Ghana, one of Africa's key mining markets, where ongoing activity in gold and other mineral activities is driving demand for large haul trucks and other heavy mining equipment.
