Dubai (PlantAndEquipment.com) - Barminco has chosen Sandvik to deliver a 23-unit fleet of underground mining equipment for the Bellevue Gold Project in Western Australia.
The order comprises underground haul trucks, loaders, longhole drills and development drill rigs, along with rock tools, spares and aftermarket support services.
The equipment will support Barminco’s four-year underground mining contract at the Bellevue Gold Mine, where the business will supply mining services starting in August 2026.
The company claimed the new fleet will enable faster subterranean development, better transfer of materials and accommodate the growth of mining operations when other production regions come on stream.
Bellevue Gold is one of Australia’s highest-grade gold mines and has been recognised for its environmental credentials, with most of the mine’s electricity coming from renewable energy infrastructure.
The transaction further deepens its long-standing cooperation with Barminco and illustrates the rising need for intelligent underground mining equipment intended to boost productivity, safety and operational efficiency, Sandvik said.
