Saudi Ports Launch Ship Support Services In Eastern Region

Dubai (PlantAndEquipment.com) - Saudi Arabia's General Authority for Ports (Mawani) has started a new effort to offer integrated support services to boats sailing in the Kingdom's Eastern Region, amidst regional concerns that hinder marine commerce.

The services include providing ships with fuel, water, food, medications, and other necessities, as well as crew change procedures to assure the continuation of maritime activities.

Mawani said that the program would combine skills from Eastern Region ports to provide speedier and more direct service customized to vessel needs.

The authorities will also give an up-to-date list of recognized suppliers and fuel providers, enabling ship operators to better coordinate services.

Customer assistance will continue to be available around the clock to manage inquiries and enhance response times.

The action aims to preserve supply chain resilience and port preparedness as delays in major routes, such as the Strait of Hormuz, affect regional shipping and energy flows.
