Saudi Launches Five Shipping Services Amid Hormuz Disruptions

Dubai (PlantAndEquipment.com) - Saudi Arabia's General Authority for Ports has launched five additional shipping services to aid cargo transportation as delays hinder routes across the Strait of Hormuz.

The services were developed in collaboration with multinational shipping lines such as MSC, CMA CGM, Maersk, and Hapag-Lloyd to strengthen ties between Saudi ports and worldwide markets.

The new routes increase aggregate capacity to about 63,594 TEUs, enabling more cargo transportation alternatives and boosting overall logistical flexibility.

The action aims to maintain consistent trade flows, build supply chain resilience, and improve connectivity via Red Sea ports while regional shipping circumstances remain unclear.
