AD Ports Begins Trial Operations At Safaga Terminal In Egypt

Dubai (PlantAndEquipment.com) - AD Ports Group has started trial operations at the Noatum Ports – Safaga Terminal in Egypt ahead of its full commercial opening later this year.

The new multifunctional terminal at Safaga Port on the Red Sea will be the first port terminal managed globally servicing Upper Egypt, developed under a 30-year concession arrangement with Egypt’s Red Sea Ports Authority.

The facility spans over 810,000 square metres, with a 1,000-metre quay and is set up for container, dry and liquid bulk cargo, general cargo and Ro-Ro traffic.

The facility will bolster commercial links between Egypt, the Middle East, Africa and the global shipping routes, AD Ports said, boosting industrial, mining and logistical activities tied to the Golden Triangle Economic Zone and the larger Upper Egypt area.

The launch is part of AD Ports Group’s expanding investment footprint in Egypt that includes port operations, cruise terminals, industrial and logistical expansions, and strategic investments in the marine sector in the nation.
