Salim Equipment Adds 280-Tonne Hitachi Sumitomo Crawler Crane

Dubai (PlantAndEquipment.com) - Salim Equipment Rental, headquartered in Jebel Ali, UAE, has expanded its heavy lifting rental fleet by adding a new 280-tonne Hitachi Sumitomo HSC SCX2800A-3 crawler crane.

The crane is equipped with a 60.95-metre main boom and can additionally operate with a 60.95-metre tower boom and a 60.95-metre luffing jib, giving extra reach for difficult lifting tasks.

The SCX2800A-3 was purchased from Middle East Crane Equipment Trading LLC and will join Salim Equipment's existing rental fleet of Hitachi Sumitomo crawler cranes.

The corporation cited the brand's reliability, simple operation, and simplicity of maintenance as key reasons for its sustained investment in Hitachi Sumitomo equipment.

With a lifting capability of 280 tons, the new acquisition increases Salim Equipment's capabilities to assist large-scale construction, infrastructure, industrial, and energy projects in the UAE and the broader region.

The new crane also has a specific UAE-themed livery that includes the national flag, symbolizing Salim Equipment's long-standing presence and activities in the Gulf country.
