Konecranes RTG Crane And Reach Stackers Deployed At Syria’s Lattakia Port

Dubai (PlantAndEquipment.com) - New Konecranes port handling equipment is being deployed in Lattakia, Syria, as the nation rebuilds and modernizes essential commerce and transportation infrastructure.

Along with an impending rubber-tyred gantry (RTG) crane supply, CMA Lattakia has already received and constructed four Konecranes RS Liftace 4532 reach stackers. The new equipment will help with container handling and day-to-day terminal operations at the port.

The equipment additions come as Syria's rebuilding renews demand for modern port and logistical infrastructure, with Lattakia serving as a key maritime gateway for the transit of products and supplies into the nation.

Portunus is supporting the deployments as part of its representation arrangement with Konecranes Port Solutions. Its crew oversaw the delivery, on-site assembly, and technical support for the four reach stackers, and they are now preparing for the forthcoming RTG delivery.

Portunus has over 20 years of expertise with RTG and ship-to-shore (STS) crane systems, and its technical professionals have completed Konecranes training as the firm develops its port equipment operations across new markets.
