Saudi Readymix Deploys Saudi Arabia's First Battery-Electric Wheel Loader

Dubai (PlantAndEquipment.com) - Saudi Readymix has become the first company in Saudi Arabia to purchase and operate a completely battery-electric wheel loader, marking a significant step forward in the Kingdom's move to low-emission construction equipment.

XCMG supplied the electric wheel loader, which has been functioning effectively in Saudi Arabia's difficult site circumstances, including harsh summer temperatures surpassing 50°C.

According to the company, the electric loader has reduced fuel and maintenance expenses while maintaining the productivity necessary for ready-mix concrete operations, resulting in a cheaper total cost of ownership when compared to traditional diesel-powered equipment.

According to XCMG Saudi Arabia, the machine performed reliably over the 2025 and 2026 summer seasons, proving the viability of battery-electric construction equipment in one of the world's most demanding terrains.
