Dubai (PlantAndEquipment.com) - Jubaili Bros Holding has been officially appointed as the authorised Caterpillar dealer in Syria, a move that strengthens the country’s access to heavy equipment and power solutions as reconstruction activity begins to gather pace.
The appointment builds on Jubaili Bros Holding’s long-standing presence in the energy and equipment sector and positions the company to support anticipated demand from infrastructure, construction, utilities and power projects.
It also comes as Syria gradually re-engages with international suppliers, including US-based OEMs, amid shifting regional and economic conditions.
Founded in Lebanon, Jubaili Bros Holding has grown into a diversified regional group with operations across the Middle East, including the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Iraq and other markets.
The company is best known for its power generation business, supplying diesel and gas generator sets, hybrid and renewable energy solutions, electrical distribution systems and comprehensive after-sales support. Its activities also extend to industrial equipment, EPC support, maintenance services and energy infrastructure solutions for government, utility, commercial and industrial clients.
As Caterpillar’s dealer in Syria, Jubaili Bros Holding will be responsible for the sales, service and product support of Cat equipment and solutions, drawing on its established regional service infrastructure and technical capabilities. The role is expected to support projects across construction, transport, housing, utilities and industrial development, where demand for reliable machinery and power systems is increasing.
The appointment follows the establishment of Jubaili Holding Ltd. as an affiliate focused on expanding the group’s equipment distribution activities. The entity is led by CEO Dr. Marcus Schumacher, with Karim Jubaili overseeing regional operations in Syria.
The country dealership selection brings Jubaili Bros Holding into Caterpillar’s extensive dealer network across the Middle East and neighboring regions. Other regional Cat dealers include Zahid Tractor in Saudi Arabia; Mohamed Abdulrahman Al-Bahar, serving the UAE, Kuwait, Qatar, Oman and Bahrain; IRATRAC in Iraq; Jordan Tractor & Equipment Co. in Jordan; M. Ezzat Jallad & Fils S.A.L in Lebanon; and Mantrac, which operates across Egypt and multiple African markets.
Caterpillar maintains a significant operational footprint in the Middle East, supported by key regional facilities in the UAE, including a large logistics and parts distribution hub in Dubai’s Jebel Ali Free Zone. The facility supports dealers across the Middle East and parts of Africa, enabling faster parts availability, technical support and fleet reliability for large-scale infrastructure, energy and mining projects.
