Dubai (PlantAndEquipment.com) - HD Construction Equipment has introduced the first 40-ton smart excavator under the DEVELON brand, thus augmenting its next-generation portfolio.
The DX400 is equipped with the latest Hyundai DX08 engine, providing enhancements of 21% in maximum output and 19% in torque relative to the preceding model. A fully electronically controlled electro-hydraulic (FEH) system optimizes hydraulic pressure throughout operational tasks, reducing energy losses and enhancing fuel economy by about 22%.
The DEVELON DX400 was recently supplied to a substantial quarry in Sancheong County, South Korea, for use in concrete aggregate mining activities. The delivery signifies the first field deployment of the 40-ton class type.
Following the introduction of its next-generation DEVELON excavator series in Korea and Europe last year, HD Construction Equipment has achieved worldwide sales of about 100 units. The business intends to augment its large-equipment range with a US market introduction planned for March and the local debut of a new 30-ton model in the latter part of the year.
