Saudi Arabia Completes Second Phase Of Hydrogen Mobility Pilot

Dubai (PlantAndEquipment.com) - The second phase of a hydrogen mobility pilot at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University in Saudi Arabia has been successfully concluded, thereby extending the testing of hydrogen-powered energy systems and transportation within a university campus environment.

Abdul Latif Jameel Motors, in collaboration with Toyota Motor Corporation and Toyota Tsusho Corporation, implemented the initiative under the Ministry of Energy's oversight.

Following an initial feasibility stage that was concluded last year, the second phase, which took place from January 26 to January 28, was dedicated to the expansion of applications and the scaling of operations.

The pilot program encompassed a hydrogen-powered bus, forklift, and stationary generator that were propelled by Toyota fuel cell technology, in addition to Toyota Mirai fuel cell vehicles.

Since 1955, Abdul Latif Jameel Motors has been the authorized distributor of Toyota in Saudi Arabia.
