Mammoet Expands Saudi Fleet With New Cranes And Transport Equipment

Dubai (PlantAndEquipment.com) - Mammoet has increased its fleet in Saudi Arabia, adding additional cranes, transport equipment, and support trucks to suit rising demand in the Kingdom's industrial, energy, and infrastructure sectors.

The investment comprises seven Mercedes-Benz trucks, 60 Goldhofer conventional axle lines, Azobé crane matting, and a fleet of all-terrain and crawler cranes. The new cranes consist of three 160-tonne, one 250-tonne, and one 500-tonne all-terrain cranes, as well as two 250-tonne and one 400-tonne crawler cranes.

The additional equipment, located at Mammoet's operations base in Al Jubail, will improve local lifting and transport capability, allowing the business to assist numerous projects at once while minimizing dependence on equipment deployed from outside the Kingdom.

Saudi Arabia's pipeline of megaprojects, industrial growth, and energy investments is increasing demand for specialist heavy lifting and transport services, notably for refinery turnarounds, petrochemical facilities, power projects, and large-scale infrastructure initiatives. Expanding local fleets enables contractors to react more swiftly to project needs while enhancing schedule predictability and equipment availability.

The fleet increase is part of Mammoet's long-term development plan in Saudi Arabia, where the business has been operating for more than 50 years and continues to invest in local equipment and technical skills to serve the Kingdom's fast expanding project industry.
