Dubai (PlantAndEquipment.com) - Legend Holding Group has announced a $136 million investment to expand its automotive activities in DP World’s Jebel Ali Free Zone, which would include a one million square foot regional headquarters, logistics center, and motorcycle assembly plant.
The facility will serve as the company's primary center for vehicle storage, preparation, distribution, and aftersales services, servicing over 100 markets and contributing to Dubai's drive to expand sophisticated manufacturing.
Construction will be completed in two stages, with an initial capacity of 5,000 cars by April 2026 and increasing to more than 20,000 by January 2028.
Once fully operational, the station is projected to accommodate more than 120,000 cars each year. It will incorporate automated logistics systems, solar power infrastructure to minimize energy use by up to 15%, and a motorbike assembly line capable of manufacturing up to 10,000 electric and non-electric vehicles per year for Gulf markets.
The investment will extend Jebel Ali Free Zone's automotive cluster of over 940 firms, creating skilled employment in logistics, engineering, and operations, as well as boosting local car assembly and supply chain capabilities.
