Dubai (PlantAndEquipment.com) - Saudi Arabia's Retal Urban Development Company has struck a deal with Omani authorities to build three communities in Sultan Haitham City for $800 million.
The deal includes Neighbourhoods 3, 15, and 17, totaling more than 1.39 million square metres, and will be implemented in stages as part of the city's long-term growth strategy.
Sultan Haitham City is Oman's biggest urban development project and an important component of the country's Future Cities Programme, which aims to attract regional and international investment.
The transaction is one of the biggest real estate agreements made since MIPIM 2026, indicating increased interest from Gulf developers in Oman's urban developments.
Separately, Oman secured agreements with Saudi-based Al Daham Real Estate and Turkish company Kubba to facilitate the construction of healthcare facilities inside the project.
Officials said the deals demonstrate growing investor confidence in Oman's large-scale development program and long-term infrastructure aspirations.
