Diriyah Awards $105m Heroes' Park Construction Contract To SATCO

Dubai (PlantAndEquipment.com) - Diriyah Company has given Saudi Arabian Trading & Construction Company (SATCO) a key construction contract for SAR393 million ($105 million) for the creation of Heroes' Park, a significant public space inside the Diriyah Two concept.

The park, which covers more than 100,000 square meters, is expected to accommodate up to 35,000 guests and will serve as one of the historic development's key lifestyle and recreational attractions.

SATCO will construct the primary civil works under the contract, which include site preparation, earthworks, pedestrian walkways, hardscape construction, underground utilities, drainage and stormwater infrastructure, irrigation networks, landscaping, shade structures, and supporting infrastructure.

The project also includes considerable engineering work to promote efficient pedestrian mobility, utility integration, sustainable water management, and crowd circulation, all of which will help the high-capacity public space operate for the long term.
