Dubai (PlantAndEquipment.com) - The Royal Commission for Riyadh City (RCRC) has awarded AtkinsRéalis important contracts to offer engineering services supporting the extension and management of the Riyadh Metro network, as well as managing the completion of critical road infrastructure projects around the Kingdom’s capital.
The agreements, inked at the Saudi Arabia-Canada Investment Forum in Jeddah, underscore the two countries' strengthening economic cooperation and sustained investment in Saudi Arabia's infrastructure sector.
Under the contracts, AtkinsRéalis will provide engineering consultancy, project management, construction supervision, and technical oversight for ongoing Riyadh Metro projects, ensuring that expansion projects are delivered efficiently while maintaining high quality, safety, and operational standards.
The company will also oversee the execution of important road development projects aimed at improving traffic flow, increasing road safety, and promoting Riyadh's long-term urban expansion.
According to RCRC, the contracts are part of a larger strategy to develop an integrated and sustainable transportation network in line with Saudi Vision 2030, as well as to strengthen its long-standing partnership with AtkinsRéalis in delivering major transportation infrastructure throughout the Kingdom's capital.
