Albaddad Launches $1.9 Billion New Botswana City Development

Dubai (PlantAndEquipment.com) - Albaddad Holding has announced the commencement of the New Botswana City project in Gaborone, a $1.9 billion mixed-use development being executed in conjunction with Botswana Development Corporation (BDC).

The master-planned development would be spread over 1.24 million square meters and will include residential towers, commercial and office districts, hotels and retail and entertainment facilities, establishing a new focus for trade, tourist and business activity in Botswana.

Central to the project will be the first phase of the development, the Albaddad Botswana Global Exhibition & Convention Centre, a $292 million, 124,000-square-metre events arena.

The exhibition and convention center will be one of Africa’s biggest event venues, offering a platform for trade fairs, conferences, investment events and business tourism.
