Normet Launches Compact Scaling Machine For Underground Operations

Dubai (PlantAndEquipment.com) - Normet has launched the Scamec LC 065 A, a compact scaling machine intended to increase safety, maneuverability, and productivity in tight tunnel situations.

Built on an existing Scamec carrier platform, the LC 065 A has the most compact boom in the line and is suitable for tunnel designs ranging from 4 x 4 metres to 6 x 6 metres. Optional configurations, such as a smaller dozer blade and a shorter rear module, increase maneuverability in confined headings.

The machine has safety measures, such as an enclosed FOPS- and ROPS-certified cabin with a reinforced windshield, optional video systems, dust suppression, emergency escape capabilities, and fire suppression. Shielding on the articulated boom steers falling debris away from the operator area.

An ergonomic cab with adjustable seats, foot-operated breaker controls, and a tilting, elevating cabin to better sight during roof scaling help to increase operator efficiency. Normet's in-house control system uses a touchscreen interface to enable straightforward operation, diagnostics, and performance monitoring.
