Congo Equipment Delivers Seven Cat 777 Mining Trucks In DRC

Dubai (PlantAndEquipment.com) - Congo Equipment has supplied seven Cat 777 mining trucks to a client in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, boosting the operator's haulage fleet and increasing efficiency in its mines.

The delivery strengthens Congo Equipment's position in delivering Caterpillar mining equipment and aftermarket service to one of Africa's major mining markets, where demand for dependable haul trucks remains high in copper and cobalt operations.

The milestone comes soon after Optorg expanded its footprint in the African mining equipment industry via its subsidiary Tractafric Equipment International, which purchased the remaining 50% ownership in Bartrac Equipment from Barloworld Equipment.

Tractafric acquired Bartrac and its subsidiary Congo Equipment, the official Caterpillar dealer in the DRC, giving the firm complete control over one of the country's largest providers of mining and construction equipment.
