
JCB has selected Ghassan Aboud Automotive as its official dealer in Syria which will boost the country’s reconstruction efforts and strengthen JCB’s foothold in the Middle East.
The relationship will be administered via Grand Auto & Machinery Co. (GAMCO), a Ghassan Aboud Automotive subsidiary that specializes in commercial cars, construction equipment and industrial solutions.
JCB’s first facility in Syria will be located in the Adra Free Zone, one of the country’s important industrial and logistic centers. With the rise in reconstruction and infrastructure projects, the need for construction and industrial equipment will also expand and the site will offer sales, service and aftersales support.
The Adra operation is the first step in a wider development plan to expand JCB’s customer care network throughout northern Syria and other crucial areas.
GAMCO will run the dealership, which will showcase JCB’s complete line-up of equipment, including backhoe loaders, skid steer loaders, compact track loaders, excavators, wheel loaders, Loadall telehandlers, generators and compaction equipment.
Dedicated facilities will support parts distribution, workshop services and mobile repair operations, allowing clients enhance equipment uptime and access to expert assistance locally.
The appointment comes amid increasing hopes of rebuilding activity in Syria where fresh investment in infrastructure, construction, transport and industrial sectors is projected to fuel demand for heavy equipment and machinery in the coming years.
