Dubai (PlantAndEquipment.com) - BAUER Maschinen GmbH has begun work on a new manufacturing and logistics facility in Aresing, Germany, as part of a significant investment to increase capacity and enhance operating efficiency.
The project, worth in the mid-double-digit million-euro range, revolves on a 22,000 sq m hall that will house materials processing, pre-assembly, quality control, and shipping services under one roof.
Construction started in January 2026, and earthworks are now continuing. Approximately 200,000 cubic metres of earth are dug and hauled each day, with up to 180 truckloads carried during peak activity.
The project also includes additional outdoor storage and logistics spaces, a training and customer service center, improved parking facilities, and enhanced site infrastructure to optimize traffic flow.
The extension is planned to simplify operations by combining tasks from several sites, shortening material handling distances, and boosting departmental collaboration.
Completion is expected for the second half of 2027, which will support the company's long-term expansion objectives.
Environmental initiatives include relocating native fauna, installing solar systems, and using energy-efficient technology such as heat pumps and geothermal energy.
